Established in 2004 by Andrew and Rachel Chuter (ARC), ARC Security are specialists in electronic security systems and solutions.

Andrew Chuter’s security career began across the ditch in 1986 and took him all over the Asia Pacific region, including Japan where he was contracted as a security consultant for the US Naval Base upgrade in 2003. In the early 2000’s, after gaining experience in a numerous security system technologies and installation across a diverse range of commercial settings, Andrew and his wife Rachel moved their young family to Whangārei, where Rachel’s sister was already settled. From visits to the area over the years they had realised they wanted to bring their children up in Whangārei’s wholesome small-town community. To this day, wherever they travel, it delights them that they always bump into someone from Whangārei.

Already well known in security circles, Andrew was in high demand upon his arrival in New Zealand. In 2004, Andrew and Rachel founded ARC Security, initially working with national security companies to provide localised services and support for blue chip clients such as banks, MSD and Ministry of Justice. As they grew their team and capabilities, ARC Security established a reputation as specialists in world-class electronic security systems and solutions and they were soon approached by Whangārei’s most iconic business and venues for custom security solutions, including Whangarei’s very own Pak N Save, the Hundertwasser, Tikipunga High School and the Northland District Health Board. The results speak for themselves – ARC Security are long-term security consultants: many of ARC’s commercial clients have been with the company for over a decade thanks to both the success of their security systems and the ease of communication with the ARC Security team.

For 18 years ARC Security has contributed to making Northland businesses and residencies safer with fully integrated and customised security, and has been involved with local schools and their sports initiatives. ARC Security currently sponsors both Kamo Rugby Club and Northland Rugby Union Team. The ever advancing nature of electronic security systems keeps Andrew and Rachel excited about their business and services, and ensures that this Whangarei firm continue to offer Northland the most innovative integrated security systems and solutions.

Andrew Chuter

Managing Director

Andrew Chuter is a qualified radio tradesman with 35 years’ international experience as a security consultant and technician. As co-owner of ARC Security he loves sharing his sought-after expertise with his team and leading them to deliver smarter, user-friendly and effective security solutions across Northland. A father of two, Andrew is glad his sons have experienced the blessings of growing up in a laid-back community-oriented city.

On the weekends, when he's not manning sausage sizzles at the Kamo Rugby Club, he enjoys long drives, tinkering in the shed, working on the land, and sharing good wine and food with loved ones.

Rachel Chuter

Business Director

Rachel Chuter grew up in Melbourne and Singapore, before embarking on a career in the manufacturing industry, starting out in accounts and reception, then moving on to production control, planning, and quality assurance, and later becoming Operations Manager. Working in Northland’s security industry is one of the many ways Rachel enjoys contributing to her adopted Whangārei community. While the ARC team are taking care of the day-to-day, Rachel directs ARC Security’s long term goals.

With her sons getting older, Rachel has an opportunity to return to her former days as an avid reader, and has taken up an interest in gardening and self-sustainable living.

Jayne Wright

Health & Safety Coordinator / Office Administrator

Jayne’s security career has seen her in multiple fast-paced management roles in the UK, before bringing her and her husband to Whangārei in 2009. Fluent in computers, security technology, and customer service, Jayne is the administration and accounts queen that keeps ARC Security running smoothly. She loves working with a close-knit team and amazing clients on security solutions that improve the safety of their businesses and homes.

Outside of the office, she has a deep passion for pharology (lighthouses) that has seen her travel the world. She also hand-crafts knitted baby clothes from her forever home in Parua Bay.

Matt Watts

Sales Consultant

Matt has been with ARC Security for 11 years, and is responsible for sales, quoting and job scheduling. He is also involved in testing new products and loves the variety of products and technology ARC Security works with. Matt is an accredited Gallagher Access Technician, PROTECT Fog Cannon trained, and adept with most alarm, CCTV camera and access control systems.

Outside of what he considers a great work environment, Matt enjoys hockey, fishing, golf and Northland’s sensational beaches.

Kyle King

Service Manager

With 25 years’ experience in the security industry, the last 8 of which have been with ARC Security, Kyle is responsible for everything from sales and project management, security consultations and installations, and training team members. His accreditations include Gallagher, Concept, ICT and Hikvision and he holds a Site Safe Gold certification.

Whangārei born-and-bred, you might know Kyle as ‘the coffee guy’.

Brocke Reti

Project Manager

Client consultations, keeping the ball rolling on projects and maintaining high quality standards are Brocke’s bread and butter. Originally from Australia, Brocke has worked in the industry for almost 20 years, most recently working for a large security company on Sydney’s Northern Beaches. Brocke moved to Whangārei with his wife, a Northlander, and their young family.

He holds telecommunications qualifications, certifications in multiple security systems and softwares (including Gallagher, Titan, Force field, Security Commander, NX, Concept and Ness M1 Gold Certification), and his First Aid Certificate.

Weekends are spent with his family, fishing, diving or all of the above, and he likes nothing more than firing up the BBQ.
